ghostrecona2

Ubisoft’s Kimi Matsuzaki has confirmed to VG247 there is a PS3 version of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier in the works as well as 360.

Matsuzaki, the community developer on the shooter, just confirmed the news to us via Twitter.

@JohnnyCullen PS3 version will be the same as 360 version.”

She also confirmed it’ll come out the same time as it will for 360.

@JohnnyCullen PS3 version will come out same time as 360, good sir!”

More news will be coming for PC at a later date.

This morning’s formal announcement was lacking any other platforms for the game other then 360, with Ubi saying it  won’t confirm other platforms for another while yet.

All the information released so far is the press release from this morning and the logo.

The company promised a trailer for Xbox Live this morning, but VG247 can confirm there won’t be a debut teaser until tomorrow at 10am due to an embargo.

It’s due for a Holiday release on 360.

Man, they got through that bag of cash quickly! Prices of cheap plonk and ladies of the night must’ve gone through the roof in France.

This is obviously a tweet from the guy they left behind to man the helpline while they went off for the Microsoft-fuelled plonk/hooker binge.

Get away, this wasn’t going to be ‘exclusive’ in a million years. Not even ‘timed’.

I still would bet Microsoft will pay for some sort of exclusivity deal here

@11

Why would they? Ghost Recon has never really set the world alight saleswise.

It would be a waste of money to pay for any DLC exclusives or crap like that.

Swift clarification. Nicely done. Strange that those details weren’t available earlier, but now everyone can get on with anticipating the game (or not) rather than treading water over doubt of whether or not they’ll be able to play it.

If i remember Ghost Recon Advanced warfighter was exclusive to the 360 and its sequel was a timed exclusive.

They obviously didn’t announce the other versions as they announced it over Live, the same thing happened with Lost Planet 2 as well, I’m pretty sure Microsoft just don’t allow them to announce the competitors platforms on their service or some schizzle.

The original GRAW was only on the 360 because the PS3 hadn’t been released, surely? :-D

There were PS2 and Xbox versions as well, they were rather different from the 360 one for obvious reasons.

Obviously The 360 & PS3 Sales Being Tied At 26% Affected This Decision.
