SCEE’s confirmed that Final Fantasy VIII will arrive on the PS Store on February 4.
“FF8 is coming on the 4th of February, this is a confirmed date now. Hooray,” said Mike Kebby of the PS Store team.
Hooray, indeed.
No price yet, though.
It was released in Japan in September during TGS, and was released in the US back in December.

I would second that, Eregol. The great thing about IX was that it didn’t try too hard to be profound – it was just a big old swashbuckling adventure, like the first Grandia. Much as I enjoyed them, VII and VIII are nasal angst-fests by comparison.
I’m replaying XII at the moment. It’s a lot better than I remember, but the License Board system is still utterly dismal.

FFVIII was one of my favorites not the overall story but the developement of the characters throughout the story. My main issue with the game was the Junction system, it was easiest system to exploit. Squall kills everything in one shot and he is barely on the 2nd disc.
There is only one disappointment of the series so far and that is FFXII. That was a huge disappointment for me so much so I sold it. All the previous ones I enjoyed one way or another.

It’s called Final Fantasy because before Square (I think it was Square..) was close to becoming bankrupt, the creator of the first Final Fantasy game thought this might be his last game ever and hoped for the best so he called it, Final Fantasy. Since it became popular, they just continued the series under the Final Fantasy name.
Final Fantasy 8 is my favorite Final Fantasy game :]
I live in the US so I have it already on PSN.
I can’t really say which is the worst FF game but FF12 was a good one :]
It’s not like the others but it was still an enjoyable game.
I like it more than FF10.
