BBFC outs Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY edtion

It looks as though a Game of the Year Edition for Batman: Arkham Asylum is heading our way, if a listing over on the BBFC site is any indication.
Citing that the game was passed with no cuts made, and given a 15 rating by the classification board, the listing doesn’t provide much detail, other than the fact it was submitted by Eidos Interactive.
However, like Joystiq – which brought this information to light – a game of the year edition could very well include the two DLC bits Insane Night Map Pack and Prey in The Darkness.
Then, there’s also the exclusive GameStop challenge map Dem Bones to consider, as well as the challenge map Crime Alley which was included in the Collector’s Edition.
Looks like it’ll be the year of Batman, kids, as Arkham Asylum 2 was announced during the VGA’s in December, and while there is no official date for it, the title is expected to be released by the end of the year from Warner – which holds the rights to all things DC Comics related.
We’ll send a mail off to Eidios and see what we can get out of ‘em.

Seems a strange choice for a full re-release. Great game but don’t think I’d want to go through it all again so soon.

It’s not aimed at us who bought it, it’s aimed at putting more stock on the shelves for those who don’t. Probably at around £20.

Hey Anders, I’m poor. I can’t drop $50 on a game every month. Plus, I still haven’t finished Majora’s Mask, Twilight Princess, AssCreed 1, Gears 2, Uncharted 2 – the list goes on.
I never finish games, apparently.
But yeah, I am ashamed I have not played it yet. /sad face.

You should do whatever Pat does to get all his free swag…
…or are you not willing to degrade yourself that much yet?

@ Hunam
But that’s if it goes for a reduced price. Fallout 3 went for the full price on release. Although there was probably another games worth of play on there. Problem was it was buggy as hell.

Well that’s the difference right there. There has been no paid for DLC for Batman has there right? It’s all been free or bonus I think. Fallout had a ton of paid for DLC which made the GOTY a rather hefty price at retail because you get 50% more game.

They always release these new and improved versions just after I buy the original.
