New Okamiden trailer features dog, some fighting
Capcom’s release a new Okamiden trailer, as you can see after the break.
It involves the small white dog you’ve seen before, and someone trying to hit it with what looks to be a large piece of paper.
Thanksgiving, eh? More on Destructoid.

Okami literally means “great god” and “wolf” in Japanese.
Amaterasu in the original was a God and a Wolf.
The puppy is speculatively Ammy’s, so it’s probably a wolf too

Might be half wolf, half dog. A bastard god!

It may be a wolf, but in my eyes it’ll always be a puppy.

I’m a cynic, I look up to the dog, but down to the wolf. I know my place.

Yeah, I picked up the PS2 version for £9.99 in HMV/Zavvi.
Massively enjoyed it, although I felt it was a bit too easy overall and found all the boss-fight repeats a bit tedious.
Still, it had an epicness and sense of adventure I haven’t really seen since Ocarina of Time.

I wonder if this has any chance of making it to the West?

Does it matter? The DS is regionfree.

Yes, but the Japanese language isn’t.

Of course this is coming to the west. Why wouldn’t it? It’s not like it’s some sort of obscure dating sim.

It’s a sequel to a game which sold half a dozen copies over here. I’m not taking anything for granted.
Edit: And no, I don’t read Japanese.
