Well, hello! What do we have here? Oh look, it’s a third person view in Modern Warfare 2.

According to Kombo, someone got managed to get hold of an early copy of the game for the PS3.

He managed to take a pic which shows modes in the multiplayer called “cage match 3rd person” and “3rd person team deathmatch”.

The screen is in French by the looks of it, but the Infinity Ward forums managed to translate it pretty quickly, according to the site.

Find more through the link. The game is out two weeks tomorrow for the PS3, 360 and PC.

    lol
who the hell is gonna play this?
(the 3rd person mode of course :D )

  3. Gekidami said:

Its abit tacky imo, IW really just scraping the bottom of the ‘possible modes barrel’

3rd person can help when situational awareness is required, if the game has a cover mechanic for example, but adding it into a regular fps is just going to make playing the game worse to play.

I just hope they have a Theatre mode.

  6. Gekidami said:

Well theres no Theatre mode or cinema mode in that list/screenshot.

But isn’t that game types, surely it would be under a different menu. Like Halo 3 has.

  8. G1GAHURTZ said:

Yeah, just ignore Gekidami. He’s just a CoD troll.

    Looks perfectly solid to me.

I’ve always preferred third person over fist person myself anyway. Nothing wrong with having both options, right?

I think 3rd person is way better to game with. If CoD give us the option to take cover it will be solid.
