Microsoft confirms October date for 360 Sky TV

Microsoft Ireland confirmed to VG247 at a press event held two weeks back in Dublin that Sky TV will release for Xbox 360 in the UK in October.

The company has told CVG this morning that a date for the service still hasn’t been confirmed, despite the latest edition of the official Sky magazine listing an October date.

Subscription packages hadn’t been put in place at the time of the event. HD packages aren’t planned for now.

So now you know.

Its 14.95 Euro a month for sky player on PC.
That is on top of your normal sky package.
I reckon it will be around the same.

Will *any* part of this service be free for LIVE Gold subscribers?

Sky have some channels on Freeview, so… I guess some of it could be. I dunno, though.

It’s slightly more irritating for me – I’m a Sky subscriber but not a Gold subscriber, so I can’t get any of it despite paying an extortionate amount of money to Sky every month.
