empiretotalwar

Creative Assembly has announced that it will release a patch for Empire: Total War in late September.

Update 1.4 will improve the AI’s combat behavior and diplomatic decisions as well as the usual bug fixes, and other patchy stuff.

If you play, you may want to read up on the changes and fixes over on Shack.

I really loved Rome and Medieval II, but this one just didn’t grab me as much as those. I don’t know whether that’s because of the game itself, or simply because I have less free time now than I did when those games were out.

Empire was probably the biggest waste of 50 bucks ever. Played the game all of like 3 times. and that was cause my roommate when I was in the Corps had it too so we played each other.

I really can’t believe that they still haven’t put in a “Go to blockade” button on the trade screen. And from the patch notes, it doesn’t seem like they’re going to, either. It’s just such a stupid thing not to include.

loki is bored because you cant get games on this scale on a console! :-p

I prefer this one to Medieval 2, which I thought was utter rubbish. The AI was shocking.

And I agree with SunKing, as I have spent ages trying to find out where my trade routes are being routed on land. and sometimes sea.

I would also like to see the fences removed – it just confuses the units and have Sat Nav removed from the ships. I am stunned how if you retreat your ship from a battle, the enemy will follows you and destroy you anyway. Pointless!
