As well as Fable III, Peter Molyneux announced during the MS conference in Cologne this morning that Fable II will be released on Xbox Live Marketplace, split into five chapters.
The first chapter will be free.
“This is great from a developer’s point of view. You could buy the next episode, or buy the whole thing – keeping them in-game,” said Molyneux
Knothole Island and See the Future are fully compatable. It goes live on September 29th.

Hmm… pricing and content length will be key here…

Surely everyone who wants to play Fable 2 has already played Fable 2? And you can get it for less than £20 absolutely everywhere now.

I haven’t

Nice pic!
Blerk; probably yeah, but what’s that got to do with episodic content?

Don’t bother Syrok, it’s boring as hell imo.
I just couldn’t get on with it, just no challenge to it at all. Grumble, grumble…

I haven’t either.

If I’m understanding it rightly, it’s not new episodic content – it’s just the original Fable 2 split into five bits and re-released.

You’re right blerk! How shit is that?
I was thinking Half Life, ep1, ep 2, ep3 etc!
The game, split into 5 parts? WANK.
No doubt just to test the delivery system more than anything.

It’s as if they didn’t talk about anything but Fable III.
