EA trademarks ancient classics, internet touches special place

Wednesday, 12th August 2009 10:37 GMT By Patrick Garratt

EA’s applied for new trademarks for Populous, Theme Park, Wing Commander and Road Rash, as you can see on superannuation.

This has caused “the internet” to have a small paddy, and rightly so. Syndicate’s a little conspicuous by its absence though, isn’t it?

Worth noting that EA mentioned revitalising Bullfrog IP earlier this week.

Well, it’s nut unusual to renew old trademarks, isn’t it?

In my opinion, “Populous : The Beginning” was the worst of the series – by far!
I’d really much rather like something more consistent with the first two episodes.

… and like the little boy who reads the “Stay Off The Grass” sign, guess what I want to unsee :( ;)

Syndicate is Starbreeze’s game. But that might be what you were alluding to.
