25 year-old man dies playing Wii Fit

A 25 year-old man the Telegraph is describing as “fit and well” has died during a Wii Fit “jogging” session.
“We spoke to him on the phone when he was playing on the Wii machine. He told us he had just ordered himself a kebab and was sitting there with a glass of port,” said Tim Eves’ mother.
“But a little while after he had put the phone down, he collapsed for no reason. It was completely out of the blue.
“They still can’t come up with an answer why it happened, which is one of the reasons it is so hard to come to terms with – there was no reason for it.
“It is just unbelievable.”
Us? Nothing. Full thing through the link.

If they can somehow spin it so as to suggest he was playing on the Wii due to being banned from Xbox Live for having a sexually suggestive gamertag and that he couldn’t afford to pay for a PS3 then I reckon we can blame everyone in one go. Full house.
Anyone remember this other Wii-Death story?
Looks like it’s all over for ‘tendo

When I got to the line about a kebab and a glass of port I had to make sure that it wasn’t the first of April.

Not to make light of this tragedy, but I happened to notice a link to another Telegraph article on that page. It’s well worth a read for genuine lols.

if he was fit and well, why did he use Wii Fit? I thought it’s meant for fatties.

@DaMan: It’s probably the same thing that caused Marc-Vivien Foés death.

If this news came out 24 hours later I’d call bullshit.
But still, port and a kebab. Sounds like he there may be a cause not related to a little mild running on the spot….

The guy might of had some sort of heart problem through natural or other causes. Too much exercise and down he goes. It might even just be that he played too long and his body just decided to say thats it.
Nothing to do with Wii fit though and everything to do with the person who died. Hopefully there will be a follow up which might list the cause of death.

Syrok, didn’t that guy die because of a heart problem?
nobody dies because of some “Sudden Death” disorder, they just don’t know why.
