Hickey – PS3 price cut to be announced within “days”

You can check with Sony as many times as you want… They will deny it, until it acctually happens.

It’d seem weird for them to announce a price cut immediately after the Killzone 2 launch. That’d sure piss off everyone who bought a machine specifically for the game.

My guess would be an announcement to coincide with GDC.

Yeah, no point in buying a KZ2 bundle on Friday if it’s gonna go down in price “imminently”

lol! Have you seen the rest of the quote? The same guy’s claiming that they’re also going to introduce a ‘non-Blu-Ray’ version.

I’m sure that’s very likely, given that all the games are on Blu-Ray discs.

I think we know all we need to know about this ‘imminent price cut’ now. It’s obviously “bring your drugs to work day” at Janco.

Yeah, it’s bobbins really. The PS3 price cut will come along with the 45nm Cell chip, and I’ve read nothing about that being ready to roll.
