Splinter Cell: Conviction’s new “visual direction is simply much better”

Splinter Cell: Conviction community development manager, Chris Easton, has told Videogaming247 today that not only is work on the game well under way, but that the “visual direction is simply much better” than what we’ve seen so far.

“Splinter Cell Conviction is certainly not canned, despite what the Internet rumour mill says, and won’t look significantly different to what you’ve seen before,” he said.

“The gameplay’s evolved a lot but the visual direction is simply much better than what you’ve seen.”

Easton added: “The gameplay has evolved from what we showed at Ubidays last year and when you see it again it’ll be worth the wait.”

Coloured us intrigued. No date as yet.

Is this still a 360 only game? Seems a bit odd if it is.

Didn’t MS triumphantly announce it was at X07 or something? I remember Peter Moore stating proudly that it was coming to to roost or something equally as cheesy as that.

Yeah, but that was chuffing ages ago and in the meantime they actually sold some PS3s.

Oh right. Well, I’ll ask but I doubt I’ll get. :)
Surely though if MS has paid monies then that’s that?

Given how much of a balls up they’ve made of the game, I’m surprised Microsoft isn’t asking for its money back.

It’ll still sell extremely well when it’s released.
