Microsoft’s holding a media briefing in Japan right now, having already announced a whopping 30 percent price cut for the country. They’re showing Fallout 3 at the moment, and there doesn’t look to have been any notable revelations as yet.

Why no news about Ninja (Gaiden) Blade?

Cynicism confirmed on another inspired new IP.

I was wondering when we’d get to hear more about Ninja Blade.

The trailer looks suspiciously like Ninja Gaiden.

What the hell is Otogi?

EDIT:

Seriosuly though, this is good there’s some second party stuff comign from Microsoft. That’s really what they need.

Some good impressions coming back from the in game stuff that we never got to see on Ninja Blade. =/

Otogi (and its sequel) were pretty highly-rated vanilla Xbox games. Ninja-style hack n’ slashers with demons and stuff. Which unfortunately didn’t sell. At all.

Well, then I will wait for TGS and gameplay on this game.

I’d done the cynicism on the Ninja Gaiden likenesses, but now gameplay can prove me wrong.

“Which unfortunately didn’t sell. At all.”

Terrible shame that, they were great games. Far more atmospheric than the likes of Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden. They had a dreamlike, ethereal mood and setting that was far more appealing to me than the pvc-clad ninja silliness of games like NG.

They were bloody beautiful, too. I remember seeing the second game running in Gamestation when it was first released and it was jaw-dropping for the time.

What I saw there actually wasn’t any gore, which was refreshing.

I will never get the chance to play it though :(
