2008 Home release “100%” guaranteed

Home producer Martijn Van Der Meulen told IGN at GC this week that the online PS3 feature will definitely hit this year. From the piece:

First and foremost, Meulen told me (without hesitation) that it is a 100 percent guarantee that Home will be released by the end of this calendar year. He has absolutely no doubt that this will be the case, so it looks like the long wait to come Home is finally reaching its conclusion. Meulen also assured me, quite adamantly, that Home will always be a free service — only premium content will need to be purchased. I know some gamers were concerned that once Home reached a certain user base, a fee might be applied to the service, but this is not the case. Meulen says that there are no plans to charge for Home, even in the far future.

Plenty more through there.

Lol what. I never knew the producer was a Dutch guy. Just an ordinary Dutch guy from the Netherlands, like me? Whoa.

With Dutch names, if you just mention their last names, you don’t refer to them without the “van” or “der” prefixes. So it should be “Martijn van der Meulen”, or “Van der Meulen” (note the correct use of upper/lower case). Just trying to help out here :)

hopefully they don’t rush it. it would be nice if they took their time and got it right. i suppose there will be some bugs to work out though.

They should take a year or two for polishing it … wait!
