According to this NeoGAF post, Nintendo’s just dated Wii Music as an October 16 release in Japan.

There’s nothing official yet. Just checking with Nintendo now.

Thanks, Hero of Canton.

I’m so excited… and I just can’t hide it.

As much as I would like to think this is Nintendo’s step too far, I reckon the masses will flock to this out of brand recognition alone, much as is the case with Pixar, Apple and Kangol.

Prime time TV ads of little men playing the trombone, shots of a 50 year-old woman grinning as though she’s being double-teamed by gym addicts, “family” film of people dancing to cutesy jazz.

Five million copies removed from shops.

Next break:

Wii Shower – shots of a 50 year-old woman kneeling on the floor with eyes shut, grinning, while four excitable middle-aged men furiously shake Wii remotes at her.

I wonder if they’ll use how it actually sounds in the ads… or just show happy smiling people with a recording of how they’d like it to sound.

:D

What are they going to do next, though? Wii Breathe?
