Rockstar: No new information on LA Noire

lanoire.jpg

Rockstar’s told videogaming247 that LA Noire’s off-limits at the moment, with no further details up for grabs.

“At the moment we don’t have any new information on LA Noire,” said a spokesperson.

Announced almost two years ago, the 50s Mafioso-style crime thriller attracted a lot of attention at the time.

It was initially a PS3 exclusive, but rumours surfaced it was going multiplatform. Since then, all we’ve heard is that the game has been pushed back to fiscal 09.

You can watch and re-watch the tantalising trailer after the link.

This is top of my “bet it gets cancelled” list now that The Getaway and Eight Days are gone. :-)

Did they ever actually confirm it as a PS3 exclusive? In fact, did they ever confirm a platform at all? I thought everyone just surmised it was a PS3 game because those ex-Getaway bods were working on it.

Not according to the only press release they put out on it, nope. You’re right, it was the same guy that did The Getaway.

Bah.

What a shame. Still, there’s always Mafia 2.

I was really hyped for this when I first saw that trailer. Another game that factored in my decision to get a PS3. Hope is isn’t cancelled.
