We've got a TikTok channel now, and TikTok is going to EGX

Nick and Cam, Charlotte Murphy, Callum Knight – and now VG247, too. May God have mercy on us all.

In case you haven't got enough VG247 in your life across a dedicated website, Twitter, Facebook, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Feedly, Google News, Google Discover, and wherever else you might see us, I've got some good news for you: we're also now on TikTok!

In a misguided effort to be down with the proverbial and literal kids, we've made an account on the world's hottest social media platform. It doesn't matter that we're seven years late to the party, because everyone knows all the coolest people turn up late. So we're going to be making up for lost time, and spreading our content around like wildfire for the foreseeable. Lucky you.

In an effort headed up by our very own Jim Trinca, VG247 x TikTok is where you can go to see highlights of all our amazing videos (like the one where a fox infiltrated a trade show, or the one that made every Microsoft fanboy on earth Very Angry with us). You can also see highlights from our podcasts, and other daft scraps of content that Jim will invariably make at 3am when trying to suppress the use of the word 'oaxter'.

In other news, TikTok has also been announced as a headline partner for EGX 2023, the UK's biggest gaming event. The social media giant will bring exclusive game stations and live play oppertunities to the show floor, as well as a variety of competitions, too. What's a games industry show without oodles of swag and loot, after all?

TikTok will have a Creator's Lounge at the show, which sounds posh. But what it actually means is that you can meet (and game alongside) top TikTok gaming creators Nick and Cam (@ItsNickandCam), Charlotte Murphy (@Tigressx) and Callum Knight (@CPK). You might also catch VG247 reporters in there, stealing all the free coffee and pilferin the pastries.

Taking place between 12–15 October, EGX will bring together thousands of passionate gamers for a four-day spectacle at ExCeL London. We'll be there, doing a live version of our high-production value, not-very-chaotic-at-all Best Games Ever podcast, where you might even get to join in (if you've got an opinion awful enough to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with ours). Come along at 4-5PM, Friday October 13 on Community Hub stage. It'll be the most VG247 thing you'll ever see!

If you're on TikTok yourself, you can use the #EGX hashtag to get involved in the action – expect content from us, and many more game fanatics, live from the show floor.

EGX is owned and operated by VG247 parent company, ReedPop.
