Thieves Stole Documents for CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077, Demand Ransom
CD Projekt Red says the company will not give in to the ransom demands.

The Witcher 3 developers CD Projekt Red announced today that internal documents related to the development of the company's next game, Cyberpunk 2077, have been stolen and are currently being held ransom, which CD Projekt Red says they won't pay.
CD Projekt Red made an announcement this morning on Twitter saying that unidentified parties contacted the company to reveal they are in possession of these internal documents, and have demanded a ransom. The thieves are threatening to release these documents to the public if their demands aren't meant. However, since CD Projekt Red is refusing to their demands, the company cautions that the decision "might eventually lead to the files being published online." Legal authorities have been contacted and informed about the situation.

CD Projekt Red representatives told USgamer that the company won't be commenting further on the matter at this time.
Cyberpunk 2077 is the company's follow-up to the Witcher 3, moving on from the high-fantasy of the Witcher series to a new sci-fi setting. The project is slated to come out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC though there is currently no release date.
