Is it too high? Too cheap? The internet has opinions.

The Xbox One X is here and it is a whopping $499. That’s $100 USD more than the PS4 Pro, a competing 4K capable machine. Microsoft did its best to make clear just how new and powerful their machine is, but the internet is already sounding off on their opinions about the price tag.
Microsoft put on a big E3 press conference to unveil their latest hardware, the Xbox One X. Designed to be Microsoft’s most powerful, and smallest Xbox to-date, the company used a variety of language to show off the console’s technical prowess. Microsoft even used language that would befit a luxury sports car at times. However, like a sports car, the Xbox One X comes with a luxury price tag, and there are definitely people who have expressed their displeasure about this fact.
Why Aren't Millenials Bying a 499$ Console Designed For A 3000$+ Television They Don't Own?

($499 is a bad price and sony is going to kick microsoft in the teeth over it as hard as they can.)

There is a very small contingent who suggest that the Xbox One X’s price point is appropriate precisely because it is a luxury item, much like the hobby of gaming as a whole. However, it was hard to find a reaction that wasn't steeped in console war vitrol.
In a time where people pay 700-1000 for IPhones every year, people will still complain at a 4K console being 499. Amazing #E3 #XboxE3

On Reddit, users have been sounding off on the Xbox One X pricepoint since Geoff Keighly let slip the $499 price point before Microsoft even held their press conference, and the reactions feel a little more mixed than on Twitter.
One comment from Reddit user DHSean explains why they don't think the Xbox One X is too expensive. "I expected $599 for what they are offering here." they wrote, "PC Gamer here. I want something that I can put in my living room and forget about. If the mouse and keyboard support comes with maybe even the eventual roll out of an actual desktop? I might actually get one of these."
One Redditor simply wrote "Wrong" (since deleted) which is kind of confusing. Is this supposed to be how they believe the price for the Xbox One X was a mistake, or are they in denial over the Xbox One X's actual price?
Personally, it doesn’t make sense to me to buy a 4K console when its direct competitor is 100 dollars cheaper.
