Soulcalibur 6 gets October release date, new story trailer

E3 is a good place for release dates, and Soulcalibur 6's release date has been announced.

Soulcalibur 6 hits PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 19, Namco has announced. The news comes alongside a new story trailer, which dropped at E3 this week.

The trailer reveals a little bit about Soulcalibur 6's story, which is a retelling of the original game's story. We get a look at some returning characters like Siegfried, Ivy as well as some of the new ones like Groh.

Our pal Geralt of Rivia doesn't show up, though he is playable in the game. We even captured some 4K gameplay at E3 that has Geralt alongside a few other Soulcalibur favourites.

Being a Soulcalibur game, everyone is after the Soul Edge. Some want to claim it for themselves, while others will fight to not let it happen.

Though there aren't that many details just yet, the trailer does confirm the existence of a season pass. The pass is included in the game's deluxe edition and promises three post-launch characters, as well as another bonus one.
