Ratchet & Clank: Before the Nexus is an iOS & Android endless runner, out now

Ratchet & Clank: Before the Nexus is a prequel to the duo's latest PS3 adventure. It's an endless runner for Android and iOS, available now.

The PlayStation Europe Twitter feed confirmed the game's launch today.

It's a free app, which sees Ratchet and Clank rail-grinding and shooting their way against Vendra and Netfin Prog's army of goons, including Thugs 4 Less. Along the way you'll collect bolts which are used to upgrade Ratchet's firepower and armour. You can also collect Raritanium that can be synced with your PS3 and used with Into the Nexus.

There's also a host of returning weapons, such as the Buzz Blades, Predator Launcher, R.Y.N.O, Tornado Launcher and Groovitron.
