Final Fantasy Type-0 director Hajime Tabata has confirmed the game, which has not yet been confirmed for Western release, is compatible with the Vita.
On the Vita, the game supports twin-stick controls, making it more playable for those incapable of the "Monster Hunter claw".
A Sony representative assured attendees of the ame event that the game's online multiplayer would work on Vita, too.
Square Enix is yet to announce whether the game will be part of the UMD Passport scheme, which gives discounts on digital, Vita-ready versions of PSP games to owners of the original UMD versions.
In general Type-0 news, Tabata said no sequel is on the cards yet. Type-0, once part of the Final Fantasy XIII Fabula Nova Crystallis umbrella under the title Agito, was spun out into its own title when it took a different direction. It released in Japan at the end of October but has not been confirmed for Western release; a digital version for Vita may make this more likely.
