Ex-EA Tiburon staffers form Row Sham Bow

A new studio called Row Sham Bow has been formed by ex-EA Tiburon members.

The studio's founded by a senior EA Tiburon executive and is located in Central Florida. It has plans to grow to up to 60 employees over time*.

The founder's name is yet to be disclosed, however.

The new developer has apparently taken advantage of local economic development incentives for funding, with $114,000 coming from Orlando and $570,000 being pooled in by Florida.

These incentives are part of the Qualified Target Industry (QTI) tax refund program, which refunds $3,000 in taxes to a company for each new job it creates in Florida.

Although, the studio's founder's is yet to be revealed, it's being speculated that he might be NFL bigwig Ian Cummings, who recently announced he was leaving EA on the Madden NFL blog.

Cummings makes no mention of the new studio by name, but former EA Sports chief tech officer Richard Wifall has described himself as co-founder and technical fellow at Row Sham Bow on his LinkedIn profile .

Thanks, GI Biz.
