Forza Horizon 4 Influence - How to Earn Influence Quickly, Earn Extra Influence Through Mixer

This Forza Horizon 4 guide gives you all the tips you need to make a name for yourself.

Forza Horizon 4 has two main forms of currency: CR, and Influence. In this Forza Horizon 4 Influence guide, we'll be walking you through everything you need to know about the latter of these two currency types, including how to earn Influence quickly in Forza Horizon 4, so you can progress to brand new seasonal events.

But if you instead need anything else on this latest iteration of Forza, you’ll want to head over to our Forza Horizon 4 guides hub. It’s on this page that you can find all the beginner’s tips and tricks for getting into Turn 10’s game, as well as how to gain access to and download DLC cars from expansion packs.

Forza Horizon 4 Influence Guide

Influence is how you make progress in Forza Horizon 4. It's not really a currency, but more of a measure of how successful you are in the game world. The higher your influence, the more events you gain access to. There are numerous ways to build your influence, which is what we detail in the sections below.

At the beginning of Forza Horizon 4, you’ll start out earning Influence based solely on events and races. You’ll not only earn Influence based on where you place at the end of a race, but you’ll also earn Influence based on the tricks and stunts you perform during a race, such as your airtime, overtakes, and drift time. It pays to drive as stylishly as possible in Forza Horizon 4.

But, there are methods of earning Influence while you’re out exploring the open world of Forza Horizon 4. Every time you level up through earning CR during races, you’ll unlock an Ability Point to spend on the car that you were racing with when you levelled up. If you pause Forza Horizon 4 and head to the ‘Car Mastery’ menu, you’ll find an array of perks that you can unlock for the car that you’re currently driving.

The very first of these perks is called ‘Weekend Toy’, and it basically allows you to earn Influence while driving around the open world of Forza Horizon 4. You’ll accumulate Influence through driving at high speed, drifting, performing jumps and other stunts, and many other impressive moves while out on the open roads. This is the easiest way possible of earning Influence in Forza Horizon 4, as while races and other events can be time consuming, driving around the open world is quick and easy.

How to Earn Forza Horizon 4 Influence With Mixer

It's possible to earn influence in Forza Horizon 4 without doing anything special at all. In fact, you'll essentially be earning it for playing the game. You can do this by streaming through Mixer, Microsoft's Twitch rival. Earning Influence through Mixer is actually pretty simple. All you need to do is follow the simple steps below, if you don't already have your Mixer account linked to your Microsoft/Xbox account:

  • Log in to Mixer.
  • Click on Account.
  • Go to 'Link Accounts' under the Settings tab.
  • Select 'Link Your Microsoft Account.'
  • Follow the on-screen steps to link the two accounts.

Now, whenever you stream Forza Horizon 4 through Mixer, or even watch other people's Forza streams through Mixer, you'll earn Influence for your own game. However, in order to unlock this feature in the first place, you'll need to have progressed through all four of Forza Horizon 4's Seasons, and be qualified on the Horizon Roster.

We might be all done with this Forza Horizon 4 guide on how to earn Influence quickly, but there’s plenty more to cover on Turn 10’s racer just yet.
