Watch Dogs 2 expands the multiplayer offering from the first game, and it does so in a more elegant way.
Like the first game, you’ll seamlessly run into other players in your game, if you’re playing online. Players in your game can initiate a hack, which means you’ll have to find them and eliminate them. Also like the original game, you can simply turn this feature off if you don’t others dropping into your game.
There are a few other dedicated multiplayer modes you can access from the in-game phone. What’s great is that the game instantly makes the district you’re in an “online district,” seamlessly allowing you join others who’re also playing this particular event.
Depending on the mode, you’ll be able to invite others right from the session to join your party. The video also shows off some of the available modes later on, without commentary.
Watch Dogs 2 is out November 15 on PS4, and Xbox One. The PC version follows on November 29.
