A new video for Prey titled The History of TranStar has been released, giving you a short history lesson on the nefarious corporation and the Talos I space station.
As previously reported, the game takes place in an alternate future where President Kennedy survived his assassination. He then jumped into the deep end of the space race by taking control of the joint US and Russian program, turning a Russian satellite into an R&D facility in the process.
It became known as Talos I and is owned by the TranStar Corporation. Over time, the company started performing “morally dubious experiments” on those residing on the space station.
Prey finds Morgan Yu waking up on Talos I to find it overrun by a non-terrestrial entity called Typhon, previously contained by scientists who had been studying and using it to “improve the scope of human abilities.”
Morgan, who is being aided by “strange alien-based powers,” strives to not only survive the entity but also uncover it’s mysteries while trying to save humanity.
Prey is in development at Arkane Studios and is slated for release in 2017 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
