Play Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, upgrade your boomsticks.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is host to a double XP event this weekend, but luckily for those of you who hit the cap months ago the increased rewards on offer apply to weapons this time.
It’s a good reason to try out some pieces of your arsenal you might otherwise have neglected, which is an excellent way to teach yourself new tricks and tactics; you may find the way you approach Black Ops 3 changes as a result of trying to cope with a gun that isn’t doing it for you, and then you’ll have learned something valuable for all Call of Duty multiplayer to come.
Anyway, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 double weapon XP multiplayer event kicks off at 10:00am PT July 15 and runs through the same time July 18. Enjoy.
The grind continues! Plan accordingly: 2xWeaponXP begins tomorrow at 10am/PT. pic.twitter.com/DfV1jTkxTr

Can we talk about how a developer’s official Twitter stream refers to the process of playing its game as a “grind” in the tweet below? This is our lives now: grind and the psychological pull of progression systems are so much a part of modern game design that we don’t even try to hide it any more. Any second now I will flip the table and run outside having an existential crisis about mainstream gaming.
