"Holy s**t," I said, dropping my candy cigar in excitement. "Microsoft announced that new Forza it was teasing for E3 2016 several days early."
But no. I had in fact misread the marketing copy, and now I'm stuck writing an article about the Forza Racing Championship, which is not at game at all, and not even happening until "later this summer". Boo!
According to the Forza Motorsport website, the Forza Racing Championship is a Forza 6 tournament with real world prizes. It is designed to provide a relevant competitive tier for everyone - whether they're just starting out or a hardened veteran.
To make up for disappointing me about probably-Forza-Horizon-3, and also to celebrate this news, Microsoft is sending out free DLC to everyone who has played Forza 6. Check your Xbox Live inbox for a code and grab the 2016 #66 Ford GT Le Mans race car. Ford just came back to Le Mans, apparently, and the Le Mans kicks off in a couple of weeks.
