A new expansion pack and free content will be released for Star Wars Battlefront this spring.
Star Wars: Battlefront’s Bespin content out in June with Lando Calrissian
According to a new blog post from EA, in the next few months “all players can look forward to free additions” such as new in-game events, Hutt Contracts, and “surprises” such as “more options to enjoy Star Wars Battlefront offline.”
In June, Season Pass holders will be able to download the second digital expansion, Bespin – so prepare yourself for some Cloud City goodness.
There will be four new maps for the most popular modes, and there will be AT-ATs in Cloud City, the ability to take to the skies in a Fighter Squadron, and spend time in a carbonite chamber. Yikes.
More blasters and Star Cards, a new game mode, and Lando Calrissian and bounty hunter, Dengar are included.
There will also be eight total heroes included in the Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass, including the two recently released with Outer Rim. This means two more with the Death Star expansion and the yet to be announced fourth expansion pack.
Here’s what’s on tap for all players:
- New In-Game Events: More double score weekends, community missions and Special Login Events to earn more experience, credits and items.
- New Hutt Contracts: Unlock powerful Star Cards like the Berserker Trait, Bacta Bomb and Ion Neutralizer.
- More New Content: A couple of “surprises” are in store that fans “have been looking for,” especially those wanting more options to enjoy Star Wars Battlefront offline.
On Star Wars Day, or May 4th, player activities are in the planning stages and will be announced soon. More on the other heroes coming to the will also be revealed this summer.
As previously announced, the $50 Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass comes with 16 maps, over 20 pieces of galactic tech including weapons, vehicles, and Star Cards for both Rebels and Imperials.
It also includes four heroes and villains, four game modes, two-weeks early access to all expansions, and the Shoot First emote.
