YouTube has rolled out its PS4 app at last, and Sony has added YouTube support to the console’s Share feature.

The latest PS4 update allows you to upload saved video clips directly to YouTube. You can edit the clip before uploading just as you would if sharing to Facebook.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like you can stream to YouTube yet; when I had a go, I was still only offered Ustream and Twitch.

You can also transfer saved videos to a USB stick (visit your profile and look for the gallery icon), then edit and export them from your desktop. Just sayin’.

Looking back over Sony’s E3 2014 promise to add YouTube support to PS4 Share, I’m not sure if streaming support is inbound or not.

As well as all this Share stuff, the YouTube app is now available free from the PS Store. With it, you can watch youTube videos. I’m not sure what else you were expecting.

PS4 update 2.0 Masamune arrived overnight, adding voice commands and themes among other features.
