Pre-order Trine 2, access co-op multiplayer beta

Pre-order the luscious Trine 2 on Steam ahead of its December release and gain instant access to the online co-op multiplayer beta.

Steam has opened up pre-orders for Frozenbyte's Trine 2 and listed a December 2011 release window. The charming co-operative side-scroller is available to pre-order for £11.99 / $14.99 and, as a little bonus, doing so grants instant access to the online co-op multiplayer beta.

Speaking recently on the Frozenbyte blog, VP Joel Kinnunen, revealed that the game should run for "around 6-10 hours for most people" and noted that, similar to the original, the game will feature a lot of replay value "especially if you enjoy playing online multiplayer, and there's also all the experience orbs and hidden chests to collect."

Kinnunen also commented that campaign-based DLC would likely be incoming "but that will take a while (perhaps in the spring next year). We'll know more after the game is out and we see all the feedback etc".

Trine 2 launches for PC, Mac, PS3 and 360 in December.
