Warhammer 40K: Space Marine absent from Steam in UK

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, released this week, is apparently not available on Steam despite using Steamworks, nor is its demo available either.

According to a post over on RPS, which is trying to get to the bottom of the matter, the only comment received regarding the absence so far is “no comment.” We have mailed THQ ourselves to see if we receive the same stance on the situation.

You can still, however, play the PC version through Steam, even if purchases are through a rival outlet such as Direct2Drive and Gamersgate due to the inclusion of Steamworks.

RPS also notes that ShopTo.net is selling the Steam activation code for £23.

Hopefully the matter will be cleared up soon.

Sometimes we include links to online retail stores. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. For more information, go here.
