EA: Tiger Woods '12 PC, Mac requires Origin to play

EA has confirmed to GamePolitics that the release of Tiger Woods PGA Tour '12 on PC and Mac will need Origin to play it.

In what is no doubt a continued effort in pushing forward with the new distribution service from the publisher, the move is similar to that when installing a game using Steamworks and needing to include Steam before playing.

EA also confirmed the game won't be available on Steam. It wouldn't comment any further on DRM stuff, though.

The PC and Mac SKUs were announced yesterday for a release on September 6.
