Today’s episode of VG247 is brought to you by the letters “W,” “T,” and “F.”

Deadline brings word that Namco Bandai and Merv Griffin Entertainment are going forward with a Pac-Man reality TV show. At this point, there are three proper responses: 1) “Whuh”? 2) “Hwah”? 3) “What those other guys said.” So here’s Merv Griffin’s president of TV Roy Bank to explain it for you.

“The idea we have is to take what Pac-Man is and bring it to life, to bring what is essentially the world’s biggest game of tag to television,” he said.

He also described the show as a “big, crazy Wipeout-type event with a lot of energy.”

It sounds utterly silly and – if it ever makes it to televison – will probably only manage to break the world record for quickest cancellation, but we’ll watch it.
