THQ core boss Danny Bilson has tweeted that the Red Faction film will start shooting January, and will air in May.

Here’s the tweet:

Red Faction SyFi movie started prep this week! Shoot starts in January…airs in May with game release. More to come….

Originally slated to air on the SyFy network in March 2011, Red Faction: Origins will instead be released in May to coincide with the release of  Red Faction: Armageddon – which was also pushed into May.

The movie was first announced as being in the works back in April, and it will leave “the back door open” for a possible series based upon it.
