World of Warcraft: Cataclysm beta about to kick-off

WoW fans, the day prophesied in your holiest of books is nearly upon us.

Well, kinda. This is a closed beta, after all, meaning that not everyone’s getting in. Still though, according an email from Blizzard received by 1UP, the 11.5 million-ton gorilla of the MMO world is “starting to gear up” for Cataclysm’s beta program, beginning with press invites. That’s certainly something.

So get excited and stuff. In the meantime, we’ll attempt to squeeze a few more drops of info out of Blizzard.
