Game Room on XBL has issues, MS says it’s being addressed

The Xbox Game Room went live today, and it looks like the free download’s having an issue.

According to Joystiq, once you load the Game Room, users are prompted to download one of two game packs. After which, the Game Room hangs on the loading screen and that’s the gist of it.

Major Nelson has tweeted that the Game Room itself is still available, so go ahead an download it while Microsoft addresses the game download issues.

Once it’s finally working again, the room has 56 Achievements to unlock, and the E10+ rated library includes 30 arcade titles with games like Centipede, Asteroids Deluxe and more all in their original cabinets.

We’ll let you know when it’s up and running again.
