Wii U – Nintendo will not charge a fee for online

During a shareholders meeting in Japan, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said a subscription for Wii U’s online service isn’t “the best approach.” While he said he is not adverse to subscription plans, he feels with everyone using Miiverse together, word of mouth will more easily spread and lead to greater hardware and software sales.
