Wii U – Nintendo will not charge a fee for online
During a shareholders meeting in Japan, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said a subscription for Wii U’s online service isn’t “the best approach.” While he said he is not adverse to subscription plans, he feels with everyone using Miiverse together, word of mouth will more easily spread and lead to greater hardware and software sales. Iwata not interested in battling “a company like Microsoft,” over third-party exclusivity
Speaking during analysts meeting during E3 last week, Iwata said while he isn’t adverse to exclusivity deals like Nintendo’s competition inks out on occasion, he didn’t think it would be wise to get into a bidding war with Microsoft or Sony.

Iwata dismisses Nikkei report on Twitter, calls it “gossip”
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has taken to Twitter to address “gossip” contained in a Nikkei article which outed a supposed Seaman title and the fact Iwata thinks the firm will eventually “collapse” if things continue the way they are at the firm. Apparently, none of this was true.
