The Gravity Rush and Starhawk DLC for PlayStation All-Stars will release next month, Sony has announced. The respective characters, Kat and Emmett, will be available for download on February 12 in North America and on February 13 in Europe through the usual PS Store update. PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale received a batch of new screens this morning that showed off new DLC character – Kat from Gravity Rush and Emmett from Starhawk – as well as a new WipEout/Heavenly Sword stage, and now we’ve got them for ourselves. Check them out below.

An upcoming DLC pack for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will include a new stage in addition to previously announced characters. IGN reports the new environment is a mashup of Heavenly Sword and Wipeout, and has a couple of screens to prove it. We can but hope this means a hovercar is the next playable brawler. The DLC is expected in early 2013 and will be free for the first two weeks post-launch.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale patch 1.02 will go live early next week, according to SuperBot, and the notes include mention changes to Sackboy, a new item, AI enhancements and more. Notes are posted below.

PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale is now available in North America for PS3 and Vita. The game launches with 20 first and third-party PlayStation characters and up to four players can battle it out online through 14 mash-up arenas, various play modes, team battles and more. There is also a single-player story campaign. Post-launch downloadable content through PSN will accompany the game in the coming months, and will consist of new characters, environments, costumes and more. The first characters to be released post launch will be Gravity Rush’s Kat and Starhawk’s Emmett.
