Eurocom CV reveals next Bond game is to do with Goldeneye
If a CV from Eurocom staff member Craig Peck seems to indicate what we think it does, the next Bond game from Activision looks like it has something to do with Goldeneye.
The CV shows:
Eurocom Entertainment Software, Derby, United Kingdom
July 09 – Sept 09 Animator – GoldenEye 2010 (Wii)
Animator on Activision’s James Bond series for the Nintendo Wii
It’s worth noting that Bizarre are creating the next Bond game, but Eurocom could do porting work for the game, as they did with Quantum of Solace for the Wii last year, while Treyarch handled the PS3 and 360 versions.
Thanks, superannuation.

Rare “long past” GoldenEye rehash deal
Still waiting for GoldenEye on WiiWare or XBLA? Sounds as though you should be pulling the flag down to half-mast.
“That was some time ago, my friend,” said a Rare rep, answering a question on the status of a revamp for the shooter in the latest edition of Scribes.
“Fate was against us that day. Destiny conspired to raise the hurdles even as we attempted to clear them, resulting in unpleasant groinal injury.
“I suspect we’re long past the stage where an agreement was on the cards, but you never know. Stranger things have happened… somewhere… probably.”
That’s one scratched off the list, then. XBLA GoldenEye will just have to exist in your fevered dreams.

GoldenEye designer would love to see the game on Virtual Console

Martin Hollis has said that he would love to see GoldenEye land on Wii’s Virtual Console.
Speaking with Official Nintendo Magazine, the designer said that because of legal issues, the classic N64 shooter may never be released through the download service.
“There’s always someone with some exclusivity agreement, so there’s lots of lawyers,” he said. “I’m not going to hold my breath. I’d love it to happen, but I can’t see it.”
Shame that.

Iwata canned GoldenEye XBLA, says UK mag
Scans of the GoldenEye XBLA article from UK mag Xbox World 360 are now available, showing some new screens and apparently blaming Nintendo president Satoru Iwata for the fact the game’s never going to release.
Iwata reportedly said he didn’t want it appearing on any other console under any circumstances, although NOA’s Reggie Fils-Aime was on board with the project. Sounds as though they didn’t get very far, anyway – only the dam level was ever completed.
Take a look at the pages.

Xbox World 360 details GoldenEye piece
Following reports yesterday that Microsoft had rubbished Xbox World 360′s hints that GoldenEye was coming to XBLA, the mag in question has come out of the closet and admitted what it does have on the game in its next issue, out tomorrow.
It’s four pages of screens and some quotes from Microsoft, and it sounds as though they got to play it. Let this be a lesson to you, Xbox World 360 magazine from the UK: unless you speak with absolute clarity your words will be torn apart and you will be destroyed by teh internets. You’re probably sitting there shouting, “But we never said it was coming to XBLA!” You’re probably stamping your little feet. Teh internets don’t care. Happy to help.

GoldenEye for XBLA is bollocks, says Microsoft
Oh dear. From the sound of this, Xbox World 360′s upcoming story on GoldenEye for XBLA is a bit… shit.
“The story in Xbox World 360 is based entirely on rumour and speculation,” said a spokesperson for Microsoft Games Studios. “Unfortunately, we were never contacted by the publication to confirm information or participate in the story in any way, as we would have confirmed that we do not have the necessary rights to release GoldenEye on Xbox Live Arcade.”
Xbox World 360, a UK mag, had said previously that “you’ll find the first ever shots and definitive hands-on details behind one of this year’s biggest stories. Yep, it’s the story the whole world wanted, but only we got – and we unleash it next Wednesday in Xbox World 360.”
We think we should just start calling this sort of thing “GameProing,” as in “Xbox World’s GamePro’d GoldenEye XBLA.” Or maybe not.

GoldenEye XBLA rumours refuse to die
According to this, Xbox World mag in the UK is hinting with about as much subtlety as a drunk elephant that it has the scoop on an XBLA version of GoldenEye.
“Next Wednesday, in Xbox World 360, you’ll find the first ever shots and definitive hands-on details behind one of this year’s biggest stories. Yep, it’s the story the whole world wanted, but only we got – and we unleash it next Wednesday in Xbox World 360. Will you be excited? Oh yes. Will you, like us, be just a little bit angry too? Mmmm, maybe. Want to know more? The mystery unfolds – in shops – in seven days time.”
We’re literally shitting ourselves with excitement. Especially if the “angry” bit means “it isn’t happening and we’ve just wasted all your time”.
