Report – Theme Park iOS DLC items could set you back $60 each
According to AOL’s Games Blog, the freemium iOS release of Bullfrog’s classic sim Theme Park has a lot of “emium” and not a lot of free, with one piece of DLC – a single ride – priced at $60 worth of virtual currency. The site claims the “vast majority” of the game’s attractions are locked behind similarly breathtaking paywalls. Theme Park released on the Canadian App Store recently and is expected in other territories shortly.

EA launches new, subscription-based T-Club for Tetris fans
A new version of Tetris has been released on the App Store, which features a one-touch control system and a new Galaxy mode. To complement this, players now have the option to subscribe to the T-Club for $2.99 per month or $29.99 for a full year. EA Mobile offers a kind of progress leaderboard for the game called Tetris Log, and by forking over this fee you’ll be granted access to exclusive challenges as well as a booster to make your rank climb faster – alongside content unavailable elsewhere, and discounts. It sounds mad, obviously, but the other versions of Tetris EA Mobile has produced have racked up 132 million downloads across all devices, so: it’s clearly a thing.
Thanks, Edge.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert coming to iPhone in October

EA Mobile’s bringing Command & Conquer: Red Alert to iPhone this month.
In it, you can control the Allies or the Soviets via 12 levels as you “drag and scroll to gauge the battlefield. Pinch-zoom in and out of the action. Select and move units with a tap.”
You can also fight in Skirmish Mode on two different battlefield maps with war squads you create and control, command units in different environmental conditions, build your base and manage supplies, and deploy units like Kirov Air Ships and new units like the Paladin Tank.
Sounds lovely. No word on price yet.
