EA Mobile to bring The Sims Freeplay to iOS

The ever-growing catalogue of Sims games will expand with a new iPhone and iPad title in the next few weeks.

IndustryGamers reports The Sims Freeplay will play more like the core Sims series than other off-shoots like The Sims Social or The Sims 3 Mobile.

Players can garden, own pets, interact with friends, and will control up to 16 sims as they build a unique town. In-game items can be purchased with Simoleons earned by your tireless virtual workers, or to speed things along, with Lifestyle points purchased with real-world currency.

Along with micro transactions, the game will be partially supported by in-game advertising - like Toyota-branded car dealerships.

No release date has been set, but the game is expected before the end of the year.
