EA launches new, subscription-based T-Club for Tetris fans

A new version of Tetris has been released on the App Store, which features a one-touch control system and a new Galaxy mode. To complement this, players now have the option to subscribe to the T-Club for $2.99 per month or $29.99 for a full year. EA Mobile offers a kind of progress leaderboard for the game called Tetris Log, and by forking over this fee you'll be granted access to exclusive challenges as well as a booster to make your rank climb faster - alongside content unavailable elsewhere, and discounts. It sounds mad, obviously, but the other versions of Tetris EA Mobile has produced have racked up 132 million downloads across all devices, so: it's clearly a thing.

Thanks, Edge.
