Vita version of Dungeon Defenders scrapped, says Trendy
Trendy Entertainment has announced it’s decided to cancel the Vita port of Dungeon Defenders. According to a poston Trendy’s forum, the developer said it believes Vita is “a very capable platform,” but ultimately, it “decided to divert those resources to other pursuits.”
“We can’t talk about these at the moment. In fact, you may not hear about these for quite some time. But trust us when we say it’ll be worth the wait,” said the firm.

Dungeon Defenders: Quest for the Lost Eternia Shards part 3 out on PC
Trendy Entertainment has released part three of Quest for the Lost Eternia Shards for Dungeon Defenders. In Part III: Aquanos, players will traverse the underwater ruins of the fallen metropolis Aquanos where you must recover the yellow Eternia Shard. The DLC contains two new missions, a new PvP area called the Shipwreck Graveyard, water-themed weapons, a new boss and a new pet. The content is now available on PC along with a new mermaid skin for the countess. The DLC will be released on consoles “soon.” Check out the screenshots and video below.

Dungeon Defenders sees 1 million paid downloads
Dungeon Defenders has seen 1 million paid downloads throughout Steam, PSN and XBLA since it first launched last October, publisher Reverb has told Joystiq. “It is tremendously successful franchise,” CEO Doug Kennedy told the site. “We have lots of plans to support it both with DLC and additional add-ons for the franchise.” More DLC is on its way for the PC version, but those won’t make the jump to the console versions due to business and tech contraints.

Owners of tower-defence action-RPG download title, Dungeon Defenders can nab two new DLC packs from Steam for a limited time. The DLC is Halloween-themed and today is Halloween, so the “limited time” may be very limited indeed.

Dungeon Defenders shoots up Steam charts following release
Stats from the live page on Steam show recently-released action-RPG Dungeon Defenders as a big hit on the service following last week’s. It is, as of now, currently second in the Steam charts behind Team Fortress 2, having had a peak of 21,862 players today so far. The game, made by Trendy, is currently seeing around 11,500 players.
