Rising Star Games has announced that Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut for PS3 is its most pre-ordered game to-date. According to a statement given to MCV, the horror title’s pre-order number exceeded those of the Xbox 360 version tenfold. “The game has easily surpassed our expectations for day one orders,” said product marketing manager Yen Hau. “It further demonstrates that the cult status we built up for the game two years ago is still going strong and I’m absolutely overjoyed that PS3 owners can finally experience this gaming gem.” Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut released earlier this week in North America and is out today in the UK.

Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro’s open-world, horror-mystery game Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut has gone gold. Set for release exclusively on PS3, the game includes a new scenario, HD graphics, improved controls and DLC. Don’t forget about the pre-order goodies through Gamestop and Amazon. It’s out April 30.

Rising Star Games wants folks to hold off on purchasing Deadly Premonition from Xbox Live Games on Demand due to a issue a pricing issue. Apparently, the game went live yesterday with a £19.99 price tag instead of the planned £14.99. A Rising Star representative has told Eurogamer the firm is working on rectifying the matter, and until then, people are warned “not to purchase the title at this current time.”

Rising Star’s announced that Swery cult thriller Deadly Premonition is coming to Games on Demand for 360 on July 5. That’s next week for those who can’t keep count. The game got absolutely mixed reviews when it launched last year: IGN gave it a two, yet D’Toid gave it a ten. That wait for Swery’s next game just probably got a whole lot shorter.

The developer behind the cult 360 horror Deadly Premonition has said that he’s already planning and working on a new project, but that he’s currently searching for a publisher to fund the project.
