Darkstalkers Resurrection patch due next week

Darkstalkers Resurrection will be patched on April. Producer Tomoaki Ayano revealed the update in a post on Capcom Unity; it will add fight request features to arcade and training modes as well as a number of bug fixes including a remedy for replay upload issues. Darkstalkers Resurrection is a compilation of the second and third games in the series, remastered in HD and available via the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

Darkstalkers Resurrection DLC offers cabinet, room skins

Next week’s console network updates deliver two kinds of DLC for the arcade cabinet view in Darkstalkers Resurrection – one which changes how the cabinet looks, and another which changes the room it appears in. The character skins for the cabinet run 80 MS Points ot $1, while the room skins cost 160 MS Points or $1. Check out the new looks through the break.

Darkstalkers Resurrection JP release will have English subtitles

Darkstalkers Resurrection won’t release at retail in the west, but if you’re hanging out for a physical copy to put on your shelf, Siliconera reports Sony Korea has confirmed the Japanese PlayStation 3 disc release will feature dual language support with English subtitles. Unfortunately, it’s not clear how extensive the translation will be, so you may want to wait till after release before importing. Darkstalkers Resurrection launches via the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live on March 14.

Darkstalkers Resurrection character update, SFxTK Ver. 2013 balance changes noted

Street Fighter x Tekken and Darkstalkers Resurrection producer Tomoaki Ayano has posted a couple updates pertaining to both titles on Capcom Unity. The blog post highlights balance changes coming to SFxT such as Vega’s Bloody High Claw, Heihachi’s Heaven’s Wrath, and Yoshimitsu’s Sword Poke Whirlwind. More detailed updates on the changes will detailed next week or the week after. Over on the Darkstalkers Resurrection website, the character section has been updated with Bishamon, Lord Raptor, Sasquatch and Victor, with a rundown on all their special moves. It’s in Japanese, but Google does a decent job of translating it, so feel free to click.

Darkstalkers Resurrection Japanese release date secured

Capcom has dated Darkstalkers Resurrection for a March 14 release on the Japanese PlayStation Network. This is a slight delay from its previous February date, but the publisher told Joystiq that the US launch is still on track for a vague early 2013 launch. The HD compilation bundles 1995′s Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge and 1996′s Darkstalkers 3 in one console network package packed with cool features.

Darkstalkers certainly aren’t dead, following Yoshinori Ono’s reveal of Darkstalkers Resurrection – a compilation of two classic games from the series. The intrepid All Games Beta has posted another trailer, captured live during ONO’s announcement. It’s all 3D and stuff, so either this is a teaser to the release of Resurrection, or Ono has something bigger planned. Get the clip below.
