A Place for the Unwilling is a gloomy Lovecraftian adventure with a Majora's Mask twist

A Place for the Unwilling is an adventure game in which your character is not the centre of the adventure.

A Place for the Unwilling developer Alpixel Games is pitching an adventure game inspired by classics such as Grim Fandango and Monkey Island, wrapped in a Lovecraftian mystery and a city that doesn't care about you.

Similar to Majora's Mask, time doesn't wait for the hero, and so you have to work around this limitation, as well as the fact you'll be needing money to afford your place.

The developers want to tell the story of this place through newspapers you find, interacting with characters, even down to asking for directions to in-game locations.

Alpixel is asking for, a very modest, €20,000 in funding on Kickstarter. With five days to go, the studio is very close to hitting the target.

For a narrative heavy game, it's already setting up word worth exploring.
