Elite developer Frontier has announced Elite Dangerous: Arena, a standalone part of the space exploration game. The new title brings the CQC aspect of Elite into a reasonably-priced package for those who don't prefer to explore.

It has the same session-based PvP found in the main game, and features the same physics and handling model. You also get to play against owners of the full game if you buy Arena, and they can play against you.

It's priced $7.49., £4.99, €6.75 and it's available now on Steam, and the developer's official site.
