Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade missed its release date, but we don’t have long to wait before we climb into the armour of a space marine.

Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is migrating to Steam Early Access, developer Behaviour Interactive has announced.

Thanking founders for the financial backing that made the MMO possible, Behaviour said the Steam version will offer easy paid entry to the closed alpha as well as the convenience of Valve’s platform.

“We’ll be communicating more about our Early Access launch in the coming weeks and our servers will of course remain open,” the team said.

Founders program sales will cease on January 25, so if you want in before full prices kick in, now’s the time – although Behaviour did note that it will try to offer similarly priced packages for other platforms if it eventually comes to Mac and consoles.

If you’re still on the fence, don’t worry about it – all current and future packages will include access to the closed alpha and beta tests, as well as the full game.

Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade had been expected to launch last year but that’s the way things go with MMOs, innit.
