"Fans don't want an Uncharted movie," says Nolan North

The Uncharted movie isn't a hot prospect, according to Nathan Drake's voice actor, Nolan North.

Uncharted fans aren't interested in a movie based on the franchise, North told GameNewsOfficial in a video interview, "no matter who's the star of it".

"I think the emotional investment people have with Nathan Drake is so high that it would be very difficult for them to accept somebody else," he said.

"Even me - my face as Nathan Drake. They might recognise the voice but I don't even know if they'd accept me."

North also questioned whether the film is financially feasible, given the recent under-performance of Hitman.

The Uncharted movie has been in development hell for several years now, shedding directors, writers and talent on the regular. The latest update taps it for a 2017 launch, but we're not confident.

The games themselves are cinematic enough, though. Did you know? You can now experience the entire series to date in Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, freshly polished up for PS4. Most of you haven't experienced the adventures of Nathan Drake yet, apparently.
